Memorial
The Stewart Memorial Grove is to be a peaceful, sacred and contemplative space for all Stewarts, in-laws, out-laws, and loved ones—to visit and gather in, for reflection, for quiet, creative, and authentic expression, to honor those who have passed, and to foster our relationship to the Canyon, regardless of our formal or informal ties.
Heredity
Thomas Hardy, 1917
from the collection Moments of Vision
I am the family face;
Flesh perishes,
I live on,
Projecting trait and trace
Through time to times anon,
And leaping from place to place
Over oblivion.
The years-heired feature that can
In curve and voice and eye
Despise the human span
Ofdurance–that is I;
The eternal thing in man,
That heeds no call to die.
